Surrey Heath Carers Support

We have a Take a Break fund to provide a holiday, respite break or short break for carers who live in Surrey Heath.

A grant may be provided to enable the carer to take a holiday or shorter break of their choosing with or without the person they care for.  In addition one other adult member of the family and dependant children may be included in the holiday if they normally live with the carer and cared for person. 

Respite costs to enable a carer to take a break can also be met under this scheme.

To be eligible carers must live in Surrey Heath, normally would not have had a holiday during the past twelve months and be in the position where funding a holiday is difficult due to low income, lack of savings or being on Income Support and/or in receipt of other benefits. The scheme is currently available where the carer is over eighteen years of age.

We are offering carers a three night break on the Isle of Wight in April.  For more details please contact the support office.  This trip is aimed at giving carers a break from their caring role - we are able to fund respite for the cared for person if required.
