Are you able to leave the person you care for for a few hours - do you have someone who can be with the person you care for to give you a break? If so, you might enjoy joining us on one of our active carers events or outings. The Summer Tea Party and Annual General Meeting at the Frimley Hall Hotel in June was a great success. Carers and cared for had a delicious afternoon tea, met lots of old friends and made some new ones. As they say, "a good time was had by all!" On Wednesday 8th July we are taking a group of carers to visit Basildon Park, a National Trust property near Reading which was used as a location for 'Pride & Prejudice' and 'The Duchess'. The carers may well need to be 'active' as the grounds are extensive! On Wednesday 9th September we have booked a River Thames cruise for carers - to Richmond and back. If the weather is kind it should be a really great outing. For more information about these events telephone the support office on 01276 27390 between 9.30 am and 2.00 pm weekdays.
