Surrey Heath Carers Support

We run a number of training events through the year to help carers look after themselves and the person they care for.    Our carers have enjoyed 'Stressbuster' days, 'Taking Care of Yourself' workshops, learning about back care, 'moving and handling' training and much, much more.

Our next training event is a free knowledge and skills programme entitled 'Caring with Confidence'.  This is made up of seven sessions covering various topics including: health and wellbeing, coping, resources, emergencies at home, taking time out and communicating effectively with professionals and service providers.   The introductory session - 'Finding Your Way' - will be held on Tuesday 23rd February in the Ian Goodchild Centre.

We are also holding a training day - 'I Matter Too' - on Tuesday 9th March for parent carers.  This is a stressbusting pamper day to help them learn how to relax and unwind.
